The wet and stormy start to the 2nd of August certainly didn’t dampen the sprits of Gareth and Katie, I have never seen a couple seem so relaxed before their wedding.

Katie looked stunning in her lacy dress, as did the bridesmaids in their navy blue dresses, which complimented the colour of Gareth’s army uniform.

Thankfully as we left The Fennes for the ceremony at St Mary’s Church the rain had cleared and the skies had brightened up.

As Gareth is in the army, he and his friends were dressed in full military apparel and formed a guard of honour as Gareth and Katie left the church after a lovely ceremony.

We then returned to The Fennes, where I took advantage of the beautiful grounds for shots of the newly weds and the group shots of friends and family. The Fennes is one of my favourite venues as it is so picturesque.

The couple then sat down to a rather delicious Wedding Breakfast and some rather emotional speeches! The cake was cut using Gareth’s sword and finally the dancing began.

It was a lovely day and I felt privileged to photograph such lovely people and I wish them every happiness for the future.
