We understand how organising a wedding can be stressful. However organised you are with reams of lists, notes and apps to help you plan, organise and remember everything, even the most organised of brides can sometimes forget something. Thankfully, this isn’t something brides at Fennes have to deal with thanks to the help our wedding planners give them, but can be a concern if you are organising your own wedding. We take a look at the 5 most common things brides forget to organise for their big day.

Essential technology items

Most of us don’t leave the house without our phones and other pieces of technology these days but it’s surprising just how many wedding couples forget to charge their mobile phones for the big day as most people now use them as their primary camera. Make sure you charge your mobile phones the night before and invest in an emergency mobile phone charger to keep close at hand should you need to top up during the day.

Meals for your wedding suppliers

Your wedding suppliers are essential to the success of your big day. From the band who will play during the reception to the photographer who will capture all of those amazing wedding memories, it’s easy to forget that it makes a really nice touch to provide them with a meal on the day. Little things like this don’t cost a lot but can make all the difference and ensure your big day goes smoothly and without incident. At Fennes, we will be on hand to give you all options for meals for your suppliers.

Wedding guest book

As well as having a photographer to document your wedding in a visual way, don’t forget to have a wedding guest book too. It’s really nice to have a written record of your day and it will be something beautiful to look back on in future years. And remember to include the pens as well!

Passport

Are you one of the many couples who go straight from your reception to your honeymoon? Don’t be one of the ones that forget their passports! It’s really easy to do with everything else you have to organise from wedding transport and flowers to the dress, groom’s suit and catering. Make sure your passport is up-to-date and pack it somewhere you will definitely remember where it is. You don’t want to be stood at the airport watching your honeymoon flight jet off into the distance!

Online reviews

After your wedding, as well as sending thank you notes, you know what a really nice thing to do is? Leave them online reviews! Your florist, band, photographer and caterer will all be thankful for a positive online review and it will help them get business in the future. They’ve helped you have a brilliant day, so why not help them a little? Reviews can be found on websites varying websites, ask your supplier where’s best to leave one.
