FOR LUCK ON YOUR WEDDING DAY - A TRADITIONAL CHIMNEY SWEEP

Following a tradition that began 200 years ago, a Sweep saved the life of King George III by stopping his runaway horse and carriage. The King issued a royal decree that as Chimney Sweeps are bringers of luck that they should be treated with respect. So started the tradition and because sweeps are lucky, couples would arrange to meet the sweep at their Wedding.

With Weddings being a tradition in their own right and hosting a Wedding in this fine Georgian Manor House, the Chimney Sweep is a unique touch to your day and a pledge for your future.

Here at the Fennes, we have our very own Sweep! He will be present at your ceremony and each guest may rub his shoulder for some luck of their own! He is a joy to see and brings a romance all of his own.
